After the Storm?

Is it really after the storm? The wind is still blowing. More than rustling the leaves and bending the branches of all the trees within sight.

Ever notice how few birds fly in the windy rain?

The crickets are still the noisiest animals around this morning but then it’s not really light this morning as the cloud cover is so dense.

We have power at our house this morning. There are nearly a million customers in NC without power.

The rain that’s coming down is thick and dense. We need more words to describe rain and the ways in which it falls.

Wow! The wind just picked up with a big set of gusts bring some of the tiny droplets to my face, arms, neck, and legs even in my exposed back porch refuge. Is it really after the storm? The wind is still blowing. More than rustling the leaves and bending the branches of all the trees within sight.
